A Statements in Steel comprises the following core equipment:
- High Speed Four Ton Ring Roller with universal roller as well as additional roller sets for square and round tubing – shafts turning in heavy duty bearings (not bushes). Reduction gearbox ensures effortless operation; no chains and sprockets; machined finish; mounted on storage cabinet
- High Speed Heavy Duty Twister and Basket/Onion maker – shares the double reduction gearbox facility with the Ring Roller
- Standard Scroller
- Medium Scroller
- Large Scroller – all scrollers share the reduction gearbox facility with the Ring Roller
- Multi Bend System – Free standing bending system with a variety of square bar dies, and a square bar/tube combo die
NB: All equipment carry a comprehensive guarantee.
This is what some of our core equipment look like:
The sophistication of this range of equipment, the ease of operation, and the significant saving on the time factor when building projects place the equipment amongst the best available in the world.
For instance, the ring roller has a reduction gearbox that enables it to roll much heavier steel – and with so little effort that even a child or a petite woman can do it. The time factor is reduced dramatically.
The scroller and twister both share this facility.
Currently, Statements in Steel businesses are operational in the following areas of South Africa: South Coast, Pietermaritzburg, Centurion West, Pretoria Moot, Port Elizabeth. Langebaan, and Bethlehem.
Internationally, the Sole Franchise Holding for Statements in Steel Ireland was sold in July 2007 and the core business is operating from Galway.
More about the Statements in Steel core equipment
State of the art design and manufacturing technology were employed when creating the core equipment. All machines were designed utilizing CAD-CAM technology. Because the machines are hand/manually powered, they were designed to be ergonomically friendly, and to minimize the use of human energy. Light alloys have been used selectively to enhance the strength and reduce the weight of the machines.
The machines are supplied in South Africa exclusively to Body & Mind Foundation.
The twister/basket maker and scroller are used as attachments to the ring roller in order to reap the benefits of the unique reduction gearbox
Roller Machine: The roller machine utilizes a reduction gearbox to minimize the input required to drive the machine. All wearing parts are hardened, and all shafts run on heavy duty bearings. The machine is also designed for easy maintenance – should it ever be required. An electric drive with a forward and reverse function is offered as an optional extra.
Twister: Up to 16 mm square bar and 25 x 6mm flat bar can be twisted.
Onion maker: The onion/basket maker utilizes the twister infrastructure to manufacture onions of various shapes and sizes. Up to 16mm onions can be manufactured.
Scroller: Three sizes of scrollers are supplied as an attachment to the roller. The scroller has its own bracket assembly which attaches to the roller – again to utilize the energy efficient gearbox system. Up to 16 mm square bar can be scrolled.
Bending Machine: The free standing bending machine can bend steel profiles in sharp angles and radii of up to 150mm. Flat bar, square bar, round bar, square tubing and round tubing can be bent with our bender.
The core steel shaping equipment supplied with your Statements in Steel do not need electricity or heat to operate and, if used according to specifications, the equipment is virtually unbreakable.
You can literally shape steel like Superman – by hand!
